2010 Southeast Asian American Leadership & Advocacy Training

The Southeast Asia Resource Action Center (SEARAC) is pleased to announce its Twelfth Annual Southeast Asian American Leadership & Advocacy Training. This year, SEARAC will be convening in two strategic locations:
- Washington, DC:July 18 – 20, 2010 (application deadline: May 21, 2010)
- Long Beach, CA: August 15 – 17, 2010 (application deadline: June 11, 2010)
These trainings provide a forum for Southeast Asian American community leaders to participate in three days of activities that include advocacy education, leadership strategizing, collaborative networking, and relationship building with decision makers on issues that are specific to the Southeast Asian American community. These trainings are open nation-wide to all members of the Southeast Asian American community and/or individuals currently working with the Southeast Asian American community.
SEARAC will cover the majority of hotel and travel costs for participants living outside of the training locations, but participants may be responsible for portions of their travel costs. California residents are strongly encouraged to apply to the Long Beach, CA training.
The deadline dates for receipt of application are:
- The application deadline for the Washington, DC training is May 21, 2010.
- The application deadline for the Long Beach, CA training is June 11, 2010.
Your entire application must be postmarked by or received online by midnight of each deadline. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and spots are limited, so be sure to apply as soon as possible.
If you are selected, a refundable registration deposit of $75 will be required to secure your spot.
