The Leadership Sustainability Project is a three-year program that will provide customized technical support to a total of four Southeast Asian American organizations, or groups, per year in order to diversify and expand the leadership capacity of staff, board members, and volunteers. In addition, the program will help these organizations sustain leadership assets within the organization or community and cultivate a pipeline for new leaders. SEARAC will also hold leadership meetings, open to the broader community, to engage Southeast Asian American community leaders in dialogues and skill-building sessions that will be implemented throughout the program.
SEARAC's technical support includes helping organizations to define and develop organizational leadership ethos, establish processes to promote and build leadership skills of all members in the organization, create plans for leadership succession, and put in place leadership transition strategies and policies. Additionally, a small stipend will be awarded to help defray administrative costs associated with the project.
