Week of Giving 2022: This is your opportunity to support SEARAC’s culture of care

Hands holding a boat on water.

Thank you for the generosity you’ve shown throughout this week. With our community power, we’ve raised $6,692 from 74 donors, and we are 30% of the way to our goal of $22,000.

Your support to SEARAC funds our efforts to identify the mental health needs of our Southeast Asian American communities and develop community-centered policy solutions at the state and national levels.

Nary and her family.

This work is deeply personal to me, the daughter of Cambodian refugees who has witnessed firsthand the long history of stigmatization around mental health treatment within our families.

I’m proud to be part of an organization that not only is working so hard to normalize seeking out mental health care but which also prioritizes the mental health of its own staff. In fact, I was able to take a medical leave earlier this year and return to work as the best and strongest version of myself, so that I can give back to my community. If it weren’t for SEARAC, along with the strength from my family, I don’t know how I would have survived my own depression.

By donating to SEARAC, together we are part of the growing movement to seek self-love as the largest form of love you can have.

In gratitude,
