Dear SEARAC Supporter,
This summer, Congress passed a budget bill that attacks the livelihoods of Southeast Asian Americans (SEAAs). The bill funds federal immigration kidnappings, whitewashes our schools and our history, and strips healthcare and food assistance when our families can least afford it.
SEARAC fought back by bringing our community’s voices and stories to Capitol Hill.

We brought 33 Southeast Asian American advocates to Washington, DC for our Leadership and Advocacy Training (LAT) program in June to tell our stories and demand action from our lawmakers. And across the country, our community members also called and emailed their elected officials. Although Congress ultimately passed their bill, our people were seen and heard. We showed Congress that we are a force and that legislators must take action to protect our families and communities.
When this government tried to silence us, our community showed up in their offices. Now, more than ever, we must remember our people’s history and tradition of resistance and step into our power.

As the leading voice for Southeast Asian Americans at the national level, SEARAC doesn’t just analyze policy. We bring our people’s voice to power. We share our knowledge and connect our communities. We push back.
Join our efforts to keep elected officials accountable to Southeast Asian Americans. Donate to support SEARAC’s work and help us raise $50,000 by the end of the month to fund the next generation of Southeast Asian advocates.
In solidarity,
Kham S. Moua
National Deputy Director
