The Southeast Asia Resource Action Center (SEARAC) and Empowering Pacific Islander Communities (EPIC) are proud to launch fact sheets highlighting mental health research on Southeast Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander youth. The fact sheets are currently available in eight languages including English, Hmong, Khmer, Lao, Mien, Samoan, Tongan, and Vietnamese.
In 2019, SEARAC collected almost 250 survey responses from SEAAs across California to share their mental health needs, the challenges they faced in accessing culturally and linguistically appropriate care, and their vision for the mental health system in California.
SEARAC invited each presidential campaign to respond to the same questionnaire, created from our equity agenda and policy priorities for issues directly impacting the Southeast Asian American (SEAA) community.
