Privacy Policy

SEARAC commits to protecting the privacy and accuracy of confidential information to the greatest extent possible.

In particular, we do not share or sell personal information collected on our web servers.

Plausible Analytics

We run a privacy-respecting analytics tool called Plausible to also measure the popularity of our content. 

Via Plausible we track overall trends in our website traffic, not individual visitors. All the data is in aggregate only. No personal data is collected.

Data collected includes:

• referral sources
• top pages
• visit duration
• information from the devices (device type, operating system, country and browser) used during the visit and more. You can see full details in Plausible’s data policy.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). The Instagram feed on our homepage is embedded content from Instagram. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Newsletter & Petition Forms

We use EveryAction to power our newsletter. If you sign up for our newsletter, we store your name and email address in our Every Action account. We use this information to know what emails to send you to stay connected with us.

Bonterra, the company that hosts EveryAction, stores your data and can use it for their own purposes. They do not sell your data to third parties.

Removing your data from our email list

If you’d like to unsubscribe from SEARAC’s mailing list, you can click the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of an email from SEARAC. This will prevent future emails, but it will not delete your personal information from the EveryAction system.

If you’d like to have your personal data completely removed from Bonterra’s systems, email them at  privacy@bonterratech.com, include your full name and the email address you signed up with, and explain that you’d like your personal data to be deleted from EveryAction.
